To provide support to business units by maintaining equipment in top condition. This shall be achieved by implementing engineering maintenance routines such as break-down maintenance repairs, total productive maintenance methodology and other structured engineering support tools.

As our Technician, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Before and after machine intervention, updating the machine status using OFX system and informs team leaders of status.
  • Completing work dockets and associated systems for ease of breakdown reporting and logging of faults.
  • Embracing the principles of Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance and the need for Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensuring that repairs and maintenance is carried out to highest quality, within the shortest time frame and right first time.
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, including the promotion of the environmental, health and safety standards, integrated management systems and any other relevant initiatives.
  • Being trained and able to manoeuvre using equipment such as fork lifters, stackers and motorised/un-motorised elevated platforms.
  • Being able to read and interpret schematic and general arrangement diagrams as per specialisation field.
  • Ensuring all necessary permits to work are in place before and after working in a particular area.
  • Taking part in the installation of equipment and infrastructural systems.
  • Work involves handling 20kg loads and working at heights.

 

 What we will love about your background: 

 

  • MQF 4 level in mechanical/electrical or any other engineering field or higher
  • Wireman’s electrical License A and B would be considered an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.      
  • Language proficiency: English C1 or higher.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

  • 2+ years’ Experience in similar role in the manufacturing industry;
  • Capable to work under pressure and independently;
  • Effective leadership skills;
  • Flexible to respond to production needs;
  • Proven fault-finding capabilities, in all fields of mechanical, electrical & electronics;
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
