We are looking for an Integrations Technical Lead to join our growing team in Malta!

 

The main purpose of the role is to carry out and lead the integration of deliverables spanning from deployment, implementation, configuration, testing, early life support to being subject matter experts for the support teams of the end-to-end solutions of various high profile IT solutions. The focus area of the Integrations Technical Lead and team are the deliverables which are beyond the existing support and maintenance Customer contracts.

 

The successful candidate will be focused on ensuring stability and performance of the newly delivered solution component or system, maintaining the security posture of the solutions, troubleshooting complex issues and ensure compliance with all the relevant standards. In addition, the successful candidate should be a mentor for fellow technical IT personnel. The role will require collaboration with various, local and international teams whilst aligning to the key stakeholders.

As our Integrations Technical Lead, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

Technical Leadership

  • Leading the deliverable integrations which are to become part of the end-to-end solutions provided to existing customers. The IT environments are composed of both hardware and software Infrastructure elements (inc Windows/Linux Servers physical/virtual, pcs, firewalls, F5s, SCCM, WSUS, LogRhythm, Solarwinds etc) together with the various Application components (HID developed and/or 3rd party products and databases) which ultimately compose the customer’s end-to-end solution.
  • Leading the generation and review of all technical system documentation, ensuring proper version control is employed in accordance with the latest standards.
  • Leading the Technical Integrations team by adopting a hands on approach, where collaboration with cross-functional teams will allow for a good balance between technical excellence, system security and a practical operational approach to be followed through and maintained by the support teams.
  • Leading the Technical Integrations team to become Subject Matter Experts and provide the technical perspective for the root cause analysis to determine both the best course of action for Restorations and Resolutions of incidents in systems, processes and services, and assist with the guidance or implementation of agreed remedies and preventive measures.
  • Participate in ‘Core Teams’ as required, either in the role of the Technical Lead, or within the Operational Support teams in coordination with the Core Team Service Lead by taking on the Implementation lead role etc.
  • Participates in the specification and design of systems. Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed architectures and ensures they are applied effectively. Reviews others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology.
  • Ensure IT compliance standards are maintained as appropriate for independent auditing, implement and champion best practise processes.
  • Ensure quality is built in throughout the Project life cycle through document reviews, and by managing testing activities to assure the quality of all project deliverables including hardware, software and documentation.
  • Ensures that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements.

 

Service Management

  • Supporting the creation of Level of Effort data, spares requirements, travel etc. based on requirements and solution proposed by technical pre-sales and the Dev team.
  • Supporting the drafting of SOWs for both customer and supplier facing contracts as well as proposals and tender submissions for the assigned contracts.
  • Identifying, quantifying, prioritizing, and managing service and operational risks; contributing to the project risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensuring escalations going outside the local team (internal and external) follow best practise, containing sufficient quality information for the receiving party to engage immediately.

 

Request, Problem & Knowledge Management:

  • Being responsible for the resolutions of any assigned technical incidents, related to early life support or configuration issues across the portfolio, and ensuring that they are managed within SLA.
  • Supporting the Service teams with Root Cause Analysis and associated reports related to the Problem management process.
  • Supporting the compiling of knowledge base articles and proactively sharing this knowledge to both upstream support teams and internally.
  • Assisting support teams with maintaining and testing disaster recovery and fail-over procedures.

 

Change Management & Continuous Service Improvement:

  • Adopting and ensuring implementations, migrations, upgrades and any changes are controlled through the formal Change Management process as per policies and procedures.
  • Adopting a leading approach in Change Advisory Board reviews.
  • Working with the various teams to identify, manage and prioritise service improvement activities.

 

Stakeholder and Supplier Management

  • Ensuring escalations going outside the local team (internal and external) follow best practise, containing sufficient quality information for the receiving party to engage immediately.
  • Maintaining effective communication across the board in terms of technical team members and Senior Stakeholders
  • Coordinating any onsite requirements in a manner which will limit disruption to customer operations at a time agreed upon with the customers. 
  • Collaborating with management on customer account management and growth.
  • Proactively participating and facilitating internal and external audits as per required standards and regulations.

 

Team Management

  • Leading and managing the Technical team resources reporting into this role, including Personal Development Reviews, setting objectives, providing feedback and being an enabler for the achievement of the team results.
  • Line management of permanent resources delivering BAU improvements and projects where and as required.
  • Providing assistance and support for existing HID contracts as requested by management.
  • Responding to requests for inputs to proposals, tenders, customer contracts and supplier contracts.
  • Coaching and supporting less experienced members of the team with aspects of their job.
  • Being an example and inspiring others in the team to harmonious success to meet agreed service levels and contractual obligations.

 

General:

  • To perform the Master CAO, CAO and System Administrator Trusted Roles as per the Trusted Role Procedure and associated Terms of Reference, and the holding of credentials.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

 

What we will love about your background: 

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure involving design, deployment, configuration and/or optimization
  • Experienced with working with standards and international regulations such as ISO27001, EIDAS, ETSI, ICAO
  • Proven experience in scripting such as Perl, Python and/or PowerShell
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management
  • Experience working internationally.
  • Experience in a matrix management environment
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment, working in a global organisation, and across cultural boundaries

Your Experience and Education include:  

           

  • Degree in Computer Science, software engineering, related field (or in the absence of a degree, proven 7+ years work experience in managing and operating IT systems in a corporate environment) (required)
  • Industry certification in Windows or Linux systems (required)
  • Industry certification in any other infrastructure area (required)
  • Industry certification in networking (preferred)
  • ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar leadership role implementing and supporting IT systems, or 5 years’ experience working as a senior implementor role in a corporate IT environment.
  • Proven experience working with IaaS, PaaS or SaaS cloud solutions and platforms for at least 2 years
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring and optimizing Microsoft/Linux servers (physical and VMs) and related infrastructure systems such as management of environments and domains, patch management, AV & malware management, back up management, network devices, system monitoring, security monitoring and management of end user devices etc for at least 5 years.
  • Proven experience managing a technical team of direct reports to deliver timebound projects, including the planning and assigning tasks for the team, and reporting on team activities and trends.
  • Experience in collaborating with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers to deliver a service
  • Experience with managing conflict internally and externally, making difficult decisions by pragmatically weighing the complexities involved against the need to act.
  • Experience in risk and issue management, implementing tools and processes to minimize risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the planning, execution and operation of complex projects that span across several business areas.
