The Change Manager is responsible for managing the life cycle and coordination of all system changes across CIDs customer portfolio. The primary objective is to enable beneficial IT changes to be made, with minimum disruption to the customer systems and facilitate Continuous Service Improvement in line with the ITIL framework.

As our Change Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Managing all aspects of the end to end the Change Management process as per ITIL framework.
  • Rolling out system IT change management to all CID programs for customer solutions, working closely with the Program Managers and the PMO.
  • Monitoring compliance to the change management policies and procedures.
  • Supporting internal/external audits with Change Data.
  • Ensuring all attributes of changes are considered, release notes, test reports, deployment, rollback, risk mitigation, documentation updates, evidence etc.
  • Documenting the change methodology, review procedures and checklists incorporating updates through continuous improvement and feedback loops.
  • Training stakeholders (internal, customer, and 3rd parties) on the change management process and tools used.
  • Taking ownership of the change registers, and audit for the collection of associated evidence and approvals throughout the Change life cycle.
  • Conducting impact analyses, assess change readiness, resource requirements, schedule of change, and identify key stakeholders. Assess action plans to address the human side of change both internal and external.
  • Monitoring and reporting the success rate and downtime of changes, look for trends, both positive and negative to feed into continuous service improvement.
  • Identifying, quantifying, prioritizing, and managing change risks; developing and managing risk mitigation plans; and escalating to project board/ core team for contingency plan execution as necessary
  • Coordinating periodic IT Change Advisory Board meetings by customer as per requirements and process maturity
  • Chairing technical meetings and presenting to a varied stakeholder group.
  • Participating in the Core Team reporting on work packages Support stakeholders involved in system changes such as requestors, CABs, PMs and customers with implementing effective change management across all programs.
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders to confirm change requirements are known and accepted.
  • Creating, participating in, managing, and delivering Root Cause Analysis and associated reports when changes do not go to plan or changes are rolled back, and put in place mechanisms and processes to prevent repeat.
  • Working closely with the Release, Control and Validation teams, the operational support and analysis teams, dev teams and the core teams.
  • Supporting planning, scheduling and controlling the movement of releases to test and live environments. Ensuring the client and Partners & Suppliers are aware of Operational Changes/Releases and on hand to support as required.
  • Participating in Business Continuity planning, Disaster Recovery planning, testing and recovery operations when either scenario is invoked.
  • Being held accountable for timely communication of status or critical decisions needed from accountable executives - proactively identify options/recommendations


What we will love about your background: 

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience of formal IT change control, release and deployment in controlled environments, similar role, or background in IT field adopting ITIL practices in enterprise environments.
  • Experience working internationally, collaborating with diverse cultures.
  • Experience with an ITSM tool.
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience leading IT change management activities, ideally in multi-site, multi-client and multiple environments.

  • Higher level education in software engineering or computer science or below listed certifications
  • ITIL foundation Desirable
