What would you do as our iOS Developer
As an iOS Developer in ASSA ABLOY Group Technology Team, central R&D unit, you would work together with creative, curious and competent engineers who create the next generation access control solutions. Being part of our Mobile Competence Center you would work on our configuration solution for IoT access control products, including SDK development, secure communication protocols and reference applications. As this is mainly backend development work including communication with embedded electronics devices, cloud services, security and cryptography, we expect you are eager to look beyond regular app development to investigate new areas and quickly learn to deliver wide-scope integrated solutions.
You would also be responsible for:
- SDK development according to IETF/RFC standards.
- Integrating with existing software components including hardware-in-the-loop.
- Automating release processes and testing as well as evaluating existing code base to seek improvements and upgrade.
- Collaborating with embedded engineers and testing with embedded products.
- Collaborating with cloud developers to test from cloud, through mobile to embedded.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience with Swift and at least basic knowledge of Objective-C.
- has experience with BLE communication protocol.
- has experience with designing REST API.
- has good communication skills.
- effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
It would be beneficial if you have experience with C coding and basic knowledge of working with embedded electronic devices, such as connecting and powering up. Familiarity with agile frameworks, methods, practices, and tools like Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or XP would also be advantageous. Additionally, working experience with collaboration and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Miro would be valuable for this role. In this position, traveling to our other sites will be required.
