As our Senior Test Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Designing, developing and maintaining test methodologies, test frameworks, and test tools to validate existing and future product functionality (C#)
  • Executing test plans and documenting the results of testing campaigns
  • Analyzing and collecting metrics on defects / defect patterns, to drive improvements in test coverage and product design to increase product quality and usability
  • Contributing to standards and processes to continuously challenge and improve team practices
  • Participating in general laboratory and test / development duties as required

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating environments, such as Windows, etc.
  • Experience with IDE’s and source code management tools
  • Communicates well and capable of delivering feedback to peers and their manager
  • When given a task with unclear requirements demonstrates that all assumptions are vetted before work starts to reduce the need for re-work
  • Understand how their work fits into the larger picture for their team and use this to identify conflicting requirements to their tech lead and product manager
  • Seeks out context needed to understand the why of a particular feature and demonstrates empathy via that understanding

 

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

 

  • Should have a strong foundation in test/software engineering for embedded products
  • Should have min. 5 years of experience in test execution and test specification management for embedded products
  • Should have knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Integration Testing
  • Should have demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming (e.g. C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python)
  • Familiarity with CI tools – Jenkins/Groovy
  • Should have demonstrated experience and aptitude for problem solving and debugging
  • Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE or Bluetooth technologies is a plus
  • Working knowledge of cryptography and security practices is a plus
  • Ability to complete design related tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development a plus
