We are looking for a Senior Software and Test Engineer who will work closely with the Software/Firmware Development teams and Product Owners/Managers.

HIDs Physical Access Control Solutions Department: 

HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure. 

 


As our Senior Software and Test Engineer you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining test methodologies, test frameworks, and test tools to validate existing and future product functionality (C#)
  • Constructing and executing test plans and document the results of testing campaigns.
  • Analyzing and collecting metrics on defects / defect patterns, to drive improvements in test coverage and product design to increase product quality and usability. 
  • Working closely with the Software/Firmware Development teams and Product Owners/Managers to ensure use cases and acceptance criteria are well defined and understood.
  • Contributing to standards and processes to continuously challenge and improve team practices.
  • Participating in general laboratory and test / development duties as required.

 

 

 

What we will love about your background: 

  • Strong foundation in test/software engineering for embedded products.
  • Knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing and Performance/Reliability Testing.
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude for problem solving and debugging.
  • Working knowledge of cryptography and security practices is a plus.
  • Ability to complete design and test related tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with SAFe, Agile, Scrum, Kanban development methods.

 

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

  • Should have min. 5 years of experience in test execution and test specification management for embedded products.
  • Should have experience of Systems and Systems Integration testing, including End-2-End testing.
  • Should have demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming (e.g. C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python).
  • Should have demonstrated experience and aptitude for problem solving and debugging.
  • Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE or Bluetooth technologies is a plus
