As Senior Principal System Architect you will be working as part of Extended Access Technologies RFID team, participating in system product development to build/enhance the specified products in-accordance to the roadmap.


You will work on defining and implementing communication protocols, security channels, device identity and provisioning, architecture discussions with multiple stakeholders and complex problem solving will be natural part of your work.

As our Senior Principal System Architect you’ll support HID’s success by:


  • Interact with the internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, architect solutions, provide means to deploy and support our systems
  • In close cooperation with the EAT management, coordinate the embedded software team in terms of both system architectures designing and implementation of the EAT RFID platform and ecosystem
  • Coordinate the firmware/software/hardware development in high quality and on schedule to help achieve company business goals
  • Driving new technologies/platforms in the Extended Access Technologies and HID
  • Preparation of documentation, system architecture and design
  • Lead technical projects and provide guidance to junior engineers, help to grow engineering team

Your Qualifications and Experience include: 


  • Min. 5 years of hands-on code development
  • 5+ years of experience in an architect or lead developer role
  • Broad understanding of the RFID and IoT concepts and trends
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Electronics/hardware experience is a plus
  • Good problem-solving skills and an analytic mindset
  • Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE, etc.
  • Knowledge of at least one radio communication technologies – BLE, Zigbee, Thread, etc.
  • Knowledge of security and cryptography on constrained devices - libraries, algorithms, standards, back-ends, protocols
  • Knowledge of modern IoT communication stacks - MQTT, CoAP, etc.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Cloud operations/DevOps concepts
  • Ability to complete design related tasks with no or minimal supervision
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development
