We are looking for a Senior Firmware EngineerWithin this role, you will work in a small team responsible for the SDK for our next-generation RFID readers. The SDK is to simplify integration of our products as much as possible. It is targeting different embedded platforms and also it will be used in products working under Windows. The project is new and you will be able to make your own architectural decisions.

HID’s Extended Access Technologies Department

HID EAT helps organizations unlock a spectrum of services through secure, easily integrated data capture, RFID and biometric solutions. From enrollment to identity verification and ongoing authentication, your systems are protected and compliant — now and in the future.

 

As our Software Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Working with project team members mainly in Krakow, you will be supporting a lot of important topics within the company
  • Development of SDK for easier usage of HID EAT readers
  • Debugging issues
  • Design Documentation 

 

What we will love about your background:

  • Experience in C for embedded devices
  • C++ knowledge as an advantage
  • Comfortable working at low level (e.g. GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C)
  • Zephyr OS knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with implementation of security protocols and secure implementation of cryptographic techniques as an advantage
  • Working knowledge of source code management and configuration (git)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration to automate (e.g. Jenkins Pipelines, Dockers)

 

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related
  • Min. 3 years of hands-on embedded development experience
  • Applied experience with embedded C
  • Applied experience with embedded bare metal and RTOS applications
