Junior Firmware Engineer (HID- 7493)

We are currently looking for an engineer with strong understanding for embedded / C language environment, to support our growth and projects in our office in Krakow. Within this role you will work with department managers and secure elements operating system’s architects to discuss new ideas, improvements and innovations to HID Global products.

As our Junior Firmware Engineer you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Working on state-of-the-art technologies in industry-leading security products
• Cooperating in a multi-site and multidisciplinary projects with the global teams
• Developing strategies and software countermeasures for security threats and attacks
• Aligning with teams and stakeholders from various business areas to expand the capabilities of our devices for the future
• Meeting with department managers and seos architects to discuss new ideas, improvements and innovation

Your Qualifications and Experience include: 

• Bachelor/ Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, information technology or relevant disciplines
• Initial experience in C programming
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, self-motivated, fast learning and desire for excellence
• Comfortability with agile ways of working

Nice to have:

• Experience with smart cards and semiconductors
• Knowledge on cryptography
• Knowledge of software security countermeasures
• Keen on performance optimizations
