We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team , you will be responsible for the sale of biometrics solutions (Fingerprint, Palm and Face Recognition technology) to national governments and other public sector entities in Eastern Europe and CIS as well as Identity Document Readers and Ticket Readers (barcode, RFID & EMV) to both national governments and commercial customers in your region. 

 

The qualified candidate will be the main sales & business development interface in a strategic sub-region within EMEA for the Access-IS and Biometrics BUs and will be expected to fully understand customer and market requirements to drive business growth and expansion in the assigned territory.

As our Regional Sales Manager , you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Manage & be accountable for the sales quota assigned to the region.
  • Responsible for identifying future opportunities within targeted industries and end users.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for increasing revenue and market share in your assigned region.
  • Build presence in Eastern Europe and CIS to establish and maintain strong relationships with resellers, systems integrators, and end-users.
  • Establish direct public sector agency contacts to insure positive influence of government procurement processes (pre-RFP).
  • Work effectively with the Pre-sales team to define customer operational requirements and create solution configurations.
  • Fully understand regional market requirements and effectively communicate these needs to Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales management to ensure the expansion and alignment of our product & technology roadmap. 
  • Maintain the sales forecast & communicate with other departments internally – Operations, Marcom, Product Management & Engineering to ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations.  
  • Travel throughout assigned territory on regular basis to expand business with existing customer base & prospective partners.
  • Provide timely submission of monthly reports, expense reports and other related action items as required by senior management.

 

 

What we will love about your background: 

 

  • Knowledge of biometrics or facial biometric technologies and related sales experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Identity Documents (Passport, IDs, etc.) and the authentication technologies is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following vertical markets: government, airport, hospitality, retail/point of sale, finance or public transit.

 

 

Your Qualifications and Experience include: 

 

  • Minimum 7 years business development and/or technical sales experience.
  • Existing network of partners and integrators within the Public Sector or AIDC is a plus.
  • Understanding of Eastern European and CIS public sector government procurement processes is preferred.
  • Ability to directly engage with major end users within key verticals to evangelize and drive technology and product decisions
  • Minimum BS Degree – preferably Engineering or Computer Science.
  • MBA - Marketing or Business preferred.
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to lead presentations both internally and externally.
  • Capable of establishing credibility with customers as well as other internal departments – Product Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance.
  • Strong out of the box thinking combined with a hands-on attitude, the ability to manage multiple projects successfully and prioritize well.
  • Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
  • Previous multi country/regional experience preferred.

 

Work Requirements :

 

  • Ability and commitment to travel on regular basis approx. 50-60% (post-COVID). Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
  • Role maybe assigned to manage additional markets within EMEA as needed
