Project Technical Leader

EMEIA Division is currently developing their ACS (Access Control Strategy) and to execute this grand initiative we need to strengthen our team with a Project Technical Leader for our next generation digital keys and cylinders platform.

Do you like to work with people and being part of developing state of the art products utilizing new technologies? Then this role is something you should consider. It offers a mix between embedded programming and project lead activities. 

 
Principle Responsibilities

  • In cooperation with R&D team and architects, lead the work of translating business oriented use cases into clear technical requirements 

  • Lead the R&D team through the various release scopes of  product lifecycles including Proof-of-Concepts, Reference designs and modules, Features and Bug fixes, Product releases 

  • Together with team, manage the product backlog (JIRA) for our products 

  • Ensure that the team is delivering expected value on time 

  • Lead, coach and support team members in project execution according to our Way of Working. 

  • Cooperate with other leaders, also in different geographical locations, to support the organization to build strong and committed teams across organizational- and geographical borders 

  • Prepare information needed to support the project status and planning 

  • Build a positive team spirit 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Former working experience having been an Architect or Lead Programmer is considered beneficial for this role. 

  • Technical leadership experience within a technical environment in software/firmware development  

  • Work experience with scrum and agile development methodologies 

  • You can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering on your commitments 

  • Previous experience within 1 or more of the following technologies would be an advantage: 

          - Contactless protocols (e.g. RFID) 

          - Low power and energy harvesting product designs 

          - Wireless communication technologies 

          - Embedded security (e.g. cryptography, secure protocols, secure elements, ARM trust zone) 

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar 

  • Strong communication skills in English and comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization 

  • Able to occasionally travel across EU and other ASSA ABLOY Regions
