What you would do as Product Support Engineer

ASSA ABLOY are the global leader in Access Solutions. We are looking for Product Support Engineer to join our Digital Access Solutions (DAS) organisation. You will collaborate with our customers and internal / external experts to resolve incidents in our electromechanical & keyless locking solutions and related web applications. Your responsibilities would also include hosting & maintenance related activities for our cloud hosted solution.

 

You would also: 

  • Support ASSA ABLOY internal teams on 2nd line support function for electromechanical & keyless locking solutions.
  • Maintain Windows & Linux based hosting environments.
  • Be responsible for cloud hosting related maintenance, change and monitoring activities.
  • Provide support for selected enterprise customers.
  • Create technical documentation. 

 

The skills and experience you need:
 
We are looking for someone who:
 

  • Has previous experience in a support role or equivalent.
  • Has knowledge of Service Desk work and ticketing best practices, Windows Server & Microsoft SQL Server, as well as basic knowledge of IP networking as information security.
  • Has excellent communications skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Is available to work according to our scheduled shifts; while most of the shifts takes place within Monday – Friday office hours, this role includes occasional night, evening and weekend shifts. We operate a hybrid work model to support you in this setup. Occasional travels within EMEIA may occur.
  • Is capable to work and prioritise tasks under pressure.

 

Additionally, experience or knowledge in the following areas will be highly desirable: Cloud hosting on Amazon Web Services; Certifications e.g., ITIL, Windows Server, SQL or AWS, Apache Tomcat or similar web application knowledge;  Linux expertise; knowledge of PKI, TLS protocol and certificates; familiarity with Digital Access Control and previous experience from international work environment.
