As a Mobile Developer Intern in ASSA ABLOY you will be working on our latest IoT-enabled locks. 

Our goal is to bring traditional lock hardware into the world of IoT and turn megabytes of data coming from "Things" into useful information for professional users.

 

What you will be doing 

 

You will be working as part of agile cross-functional team, focusing on back-end development tasks, contributing to our next-generation IoT-enabled wireless lock platform. 

You will work on the edge of firmware and mobile apps and: 

  • Develop mobile apps for IoT-enabled locks 
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting 

As an integral member of the team, you will actively participate in standard Agile activities like stand-ups, refinement sessions, retrospectives and demo meetings.

 

What we are looking for  

 

It would be great for us if you are able to present some of core skills required for this role!

 

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm connected with basic experience in backend mobile Android platform programming (Kotlin/Java)
  • Knowledge of REST API
  • BLE(Bluetooth Low-Energy) knowledge is always nice to have!
  • Awareness & alignment on the newest mobile coding trends and technologies
  • A student who is willing to start a career in IT, with a particular interest in IoT mobile development
  • Strong willingness to learn and explore wide aspects of IoT development, with high focus on security
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our international colleagues
  • A future-oriented mindset, displaying a readiness to cooperate and potentially continue as an employee with ASSA ABLOY
