What would you do as our Embedded Linux Software Engineer

As an Embedded Linux Software Engineer at Group Technology Team, you will help with the design and implementation of features and the maintenance of our Linux platform.

We expect you to do great work, both as part of a team and independently. 

We work in a global environment, so you need to be proficient in English, both written and spoken. 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced embedded software engineer or firmware engineer working with GNU Linux OS
  • Has experience in Yocto
  • Has knowledge of Buildroot and Make
  • Has experience in any scripting language such as Bash or Python.
  • Is fluent in C programming and has general microcontroller experience.

  • Has experience in Git and understanding Git submodules.
  • Has experience in debugging Embedded Linux Devices.

  • Has experience in using Linux kernel and systemd

  • Is proficient in written and verbal communication in English

Ideally, you would also have experience with:

  • Experience working with remotely updated embedded devices.
  • Experience with using open-source tools and integration of open-source software into commercial products.

  • Knowledge of different communication Protocols ex. TCP/IP, UART, SPI.
  • Experience with Python-based development 
  • Understanding of OSS licensing issues
