As our Associate Engineering Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Being responsible for the development of new & existing PACS product solutions
  • Being fluent in low level firmware development techniques
  • Directing line manager for a team of engineers, responsible for delivering business objectives on time and the development & growth of its people
  • Providing high level of ownership to be able to drive multi-faceted issues/features till closure
  • Contributing to teams' agile processes from start to finish including: Scrum and Kanban management, deployment and testing methodologies, etc.
  • Providing Scrum Master duties for the team within the SaFe framework. Where appropriate this can be delegated to a direct report
  • Working closely with the (Senior) Engineering manager to identify/implement opportunities for efficiency improvement within the development process
  • Working closely with key stakeholders from multiple departments to meet business objectives
  • Participating in management reviews when required, focused on the meeting of objectives

 

Your Experience and Background include:

 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent or suitable experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years of related industry experience
  • Strong team-building skills and teamwork orientation; ability to coach, mentor and lead by example
  • Ability to verify product software requirements considering hardware capabilities
  • Able to understand, maintain and create designs for large size projects
  • Fluent in product embedded programming C & C#
  • Fluent in low level (as FW) or high level (as SW) development techniques
  • Fluent with software version control
  • TDD Unit test approach
  • Good understanding and skills with CI/CD
  • Solve security / SSDL related issues
  • Able to demonstrate experience with the FW/SW development progress
  • Able to demonstrate experience of writing cryptographic code for secure embedded systems
  • Experience in using agile processes and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Improvement)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
