HID’s Technical Support Department: 

The Technical Support department is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all product offerings and technical support procedures to provide accurate solutions to clients. With minimal supervision, the Systems Support Specialist performs customer support/help desk functions for existing clients. The qualified candidate will receive calls or emails from clients and make outgoing calls to clients. Responsibilities include servicing client requests and requirements via telephone or remote connection via the Internet using Webex, TeamViewer, Anydesk, or VPN.

As our Systems Support Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by: 


  • Quickly identifying problems and providing a solution with minimal downtime.
  • Providing consultation on systems provided.
  • Providing system software update (software release).
  • Remote system training
  • Troubleshooting hardware.
  • Recording all cases to helpdesk software.


What we will love about your background: 


  • Experience with Data manipulation (SQL queries).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on-call rotation for the after-hours emergency phone.
  • Working knowledge of remote system training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.


Your Experience and Education include:             


  • 2-3 years of experience in tech support and customer service.
  • Solid SQL knowledge (server setup, database, and queries).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server (Standalone, Network or VM).
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP Configurations, TCP/IP, VLAN).
