Production Supervisor

Fleming and Baron, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Production Supervisor – Day Shift to join our team at our Woodbridge, Ontario manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll lead operations within the Door Department during the day shift and support our commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What would you do as our Production Supervisor?
You’ll be responsible for supervising daily production operations during the day shift (7:00 pm - 3:30 am), leading a team of employees, ensuring product quality, achieving production targets, and supporting on-time delivery while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

You would also:

• Ensure production teams and processes comply with all company and regulatory safety and quality standards
• Plan and assign daily work to meet production schedules and departmental goals
• Ensure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support current and future production needs
• Train, motivate, coach, and evaluate employees; address performance and discipline as needed
• Develop and report production metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Identify productivity trends and recommend improvements to enhance performance
• Participate in process improvement and lean initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Promote positive employee relations, communication, and teamwork across all shifts
• Ensure compliance with company standards related to cost control, waste reduction, inventory, health & safety, and the Code of Conduct
• Provide coverage for other supervisors or managers as required
• Special assignments and other duties as assigned
• Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment holding self and others accountable to ASSA ABLOY standards
• Assure compliance with provincial, federal, and corporate policies, regulations, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

The Skills and Experience You Need:

• Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Manufacturing Engineering)
• 4–6 years of manufacturing supervision or management experience
• Union-site experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement
• Experience with production scheduling and work planning
• Strong project management skills
• Working knowledge of CNC equipment and programming
• Experience with metal forming, door components, or related manufacturing environments preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high safety and quality standards
• Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed

Compensation $88,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
