Project Manager

Amarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY – the global leader in opening solutions - is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Winston Salem. This position is responsible for coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope. You will oversee all aspects of specific projects, including product development teams for market release and introduction of new products (NPI) as well as major improvements to existing products (CPI). In this position you will:

• Define project tasks, resource requirements, and project deliverables and required delivery dates.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.  Develop viable work plans/work breakdown schedule (WBS), milestone schedules and project cost/benefit estimates.
• Develop solution design that encompasses the entire project scope.
• Prepare and product reports, timelines, budgets and documentation.
• Independently manage and build project plan deliverables.
• Coordinate development and review of project deliverables.
• Identify plan gaps and develop closure plans.
• Ensure the successful completion of assigned project deliverables & milestones.
• Facilitate the involvement and contribution of all key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Resolve project issues and mitigate project risk by negotiating solutions that meet expected results.
• Manage project budget, forecast and financial actuals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of Project Management experience
• PMP certification
• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business preferred or 10 years minimum of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience managing multiple projects at one time
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools and visual management system
• Overnight and extended travel – approximately 2-3 nights per quarter
• Ability to articulate clear and concise status and action plans to resolve issues and risks at the right level of detail for the audience

• Proven organization skills; prioritize and organize tasks efficiently and effectively
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to drive for results and work without direct supervision
• Proven ability to work with, lead and manage a team without organization authority

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and we understand the value of work-life balance. Our office hours are 7:30 – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30-11:30a Fridays.
