ASSA ABLOY Fenestration LLC. is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our rapidly growing team at our Williamsport Maryland location.  Our company specializes in designing innovative and customized hardware solutions for the residential window and door market in North America. Our product line includes advanced systems for window and door applications and includes a full line of European hardware solutions.

Role Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient operations within the Williamsport Warehouse.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train the shipping, receiving, and warehouse team.
  • Run reports out of IFS to manage daily tasks.
  • Ensure orders are picked accurately, pack and wrapped properly, and shipped on time.
  • Oversee creation and shipment of distribution orders.
  • Manage receipt and verification of purchase orders from vendors.
  • Communicate with Customer Service, Sales, Customers (as required), and Trucking companies to plan pickups and deliveries.
  • Assist in On-time Delivery, Warehouse, and Labor Efficiency metrics.
  • Manage and purchase shipping office materials and dock supplies.
  • Manage shipping equipment.
  • Lead safety practices for warehouse and dock.
  • Identify capital required for warehouse and dock.
  • Manage Hazmat and chemical storage in the warehouse and on shipping documents.
  • Working knowledge of LTL and parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, XPO.
  • Manage shipping capacities to level workload across a 5-day shipping week and 2 shifts.
  • Oversee shipping document retention as defined by company policy.
  • Ability to resolve any shipping, receiving or warehouse issues and put corrective actions in place to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Conduct Team reviews as defined by management.
  • Attain all performance goals as defined by management.
  • Any other task as requested.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3-5 years management experience in a Distribution Manufacturing Environment preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to create reports and presentations.
  • Experience working with an ERP and Transportation Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of international shipping process and documentation.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize.
  • Capable of following oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt and learn quickly.
  • Can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
