Annual Salary: $70,000-$90,000

 

Position Summary

The ERP BPO-Business Process Owner will be responsible for all ASSA ABLOY Fenestration manufacturing Plant Operations sites. Serves as the primary ERP expert at the plant level, ensuring that ERP processes align with business needs, are standardized, and consistent across all sites as required and effectively utilized. This role is responsible for developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), training plant personnel, and leading the manufacturing system enhancements to optimize manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain operations.

 

Essential Job Functions

ERP Process Ownership & Standardization

  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ERP processes relating to manufacturing plant operations across all sites.
  • Ensure ERP best practices are consistently followed across departments.
  • Act as liaison between plant and corporate teams to align system processes and business goals.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards for manufacturing master data.
  • Perform periodic ERP data audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and corporate compliance.

Training & Change Management

  • Design and deliver ERP training programs for plant users, ensuring proficiency across production planning, inventory management, and reporting functions.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and reference documents.
  • Provide ongoing coaching & support for plant users adapting to ERP system and enhancements.
  • Manage and update ERP user competency formats and associated training records

ERP System Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Troubleshoot and resolve plant ERP process and functional issues.
  • Identify innovative solutions to ERP system and application challenges.
  • Work with corporate IT/ERP teams to test and implement system enhancements.
  • Lead and implement ERP-driven optimization initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency such as;  production, capacity, resources planning, constraints, and finite scheduling.
  • Design and implement system-based production reporting to replace manual spreadsheets.
  • Support configuration and accuracy of manufacturing master data and systems.
  • Assist in developing KPI, Reporting, & Analytics Activities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and IT teams to optimize ERP-driven workflows.
  • Support ERP upgrades, module implementations, and system integrations.
  • Act as the ERP advocate, ensure users understand system capabilities and the business impact.
  • Assesses risks, develop mitigation plans, communicate, and escalate with stakeholders.
  • Validate user requirements and execute functional testing to ensure ERP changes meet needs without disrupting existing processes.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience: minimum 2-5 years in manufacturing, supply chain, or ERP-related roles within a plant environment. Fenestration experience is a plus.
  • ERP Knowledge: Hands-on experience with IFS highly preferred, or other manufacturing ERP systems a MUST HAVE (i.e. JP Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Process Documentation: Ability to develop SOPs, process flow diagrams, and training guides.
  • Training & Support: Strong end-user training, change management, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze system issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Collaboration: Effective cross-functional communication with IT, supply chain, and operations.
  • Environment: Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing/plant environment within automation, CNC machine, assembly, etc.  

 

Educational & Certification

Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years’ industry experience, OR HS Diploma/Associate’s Degree with minimum 5 years’ industry experience

  • Working knowledge with Lean methodologies (6S, Kaizen, Kanban, continuous improvement).

  • Risk management - proactive identification of risks, mitigation options and recovery plans.
  • Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to lead and influence without direct authority.

  • Potential for supervision of professional staff; communicating effectively in oral and written form.
