What you would do as our Mechanical Product Manager

We want you to manage the end-to-end product strategy, from development through to completion, of the mechanical product groups for all Door Hardware Group brands including; UNION, ASSA ABLOY, Adams Rite, Exidor and Dale.

 

  • Develop and support the strategy of all mechanical product categories.
  • Identify market gaps, key value chain drivers, trends, and customer profit potential.
  • Have consistent and regular interface with the customer/ commercial market within the field.
  • Support and drive product sales through proactive activities to support the commercial team.
  • Initiate and own market research, obtain buy-in from relevant stakeholders, produce creative and original specifications for best-in-class customer centric products.
  • Create and sponsor generation plans to drive NPI and product lifecycles.
  • Understand and translate all industry standards and leverage to commercial advantage.
  • Have overall management and co-ordination of New Product Development programs on time and to budget.
  • Creation of effective cost/ price/ value propositions maximising turnover and profit potential for the business.
  • Full commercialisation of new product launches.
  • Monitoring and tracking of KPI’s, such as: turnover, profitability, stock control, SKU management and NPI deliver etc.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience within Product/ Category management, ideally within a mechanical industry.
  • Can communicate with and influence stakeholders of all levels.
  • Has good attention to detail to ensure the relevant data is accurate.
