We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Graduate- EMEIA to be enrolled onto our EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) Graduate Programme, which will entail a 3-month international secondment to another Market Region within ASSA ABLOY. You will take part in a number of development programmes and will also be assigned a mentor within your local business.

You’ll play a handson role in building brand awareness, driving engagement and supporting revenue growth across our digital channels. As part of the graduate programme, you’ll benefit from structured development, mentoring, and a 3month international secondment within another ASSA ABLOY market region.

 

This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, curious, and keen to develop their IT Project skills in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.

 

As an IT project Graduate, you will: 

 

Play a key supporting role in the delivery of change initiatives across the UK & Ireland, working to create a structured PMO environment and gaining handson experience in process improvement and automation (RPA). From day one, the role will focus on building strong project delivery foundations, supporting governance, and enabling successful outcomes.

 

PMO & Project Delivery Support

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects and workstreams in line with EMEIA PMO standards and methodologies.
  • Maintain core project artefacts including project plans, actions, and status reports.
  • Track progress against milestones, timelines, and deliverables, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Produce clear and concise project reporting for stakeholders, including dashboards, KPIs, and progress updates.
  • Support consistent ways of working across sites by promoting standard templates, processes, and governance controls.
  • Assist with project meetings, workshops, and steering forums, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and followup actions.

Automation (RPA) & Continuous Improvement Support

  • Support the delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and digital improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Help manage and maintain the automation pipeline, including idea intake, prioritisation, and benefits tracking.
  • Work with operational and technical teams to document existing (“asis”) and improved (“tobe”) processes.
  • Assist with coordinating testing, change activities, deployment planning, and user adoption for new automations.
  • Support benefits realisation tracking, ensuring expected efficiency and quality improvements are measured and reported.
  • Develop a practical understanding of automation tools and ways of working, working alongside developers and process owners.

Governance, Compliance & Best Practice

  • Support project activities linked to governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives (e.g. security, controls, and audit readiness).
  • Assist with evidence gathering, documentation, and process tracking to support internal and external assurance activities.
  • Ensure project activities align with agreed standards, policies, and continuous improvement principles.    

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Project Delivery
  • Own endtoend project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, deployment, and closure.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Engage closely with business process owners, SMEs, technical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and steering updates.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate status, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Resource & Budget Management
  • Coordinate resource requirements across IT and business functions.
  • Track project budgets, forecast costs, and manage financial reporting.
  • Identify and resolve resource constraints and prioritisation conflicts.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify project risks and issues; maintain logs and mitigation plans.
  • Escalate blockers and decision requirements to project sponsors or IT leadership.

 

Education / Qualifications:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject such as IT, Business, Engineering, Digital Technologies, or a related discipline.
  • Formal project management qualifications are not essential but an interest in, or progress towards, certifications such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile or Scrum is advantageous and will be supported.

 

Personal characteristics:

  • An interest in project management, technology, digital change, or automation, demonstrated through education, placements, internships, graduate schemes, or relevant parttime work.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage actions, and work methodically across multiple pieces of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders and actively listen, ask questions, and follow up on actions.
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, or dashboards, and able to spot trends, risks, or inconsistencies.
  • Able to work well as part of a team, supporting others while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • An interest in IT systems, digital processes, or automation, with a basic awareness of how technology supports business operations.
