What would you do as our Head of Product Management:

This exciting opportunity will provide you with an overall responsibility for the product management, development and profitable growth of the Yale Retail UK&I product categories.

You would also:

 

  • Act as a key spokesperson internally and externally for the Yale Retail categories including Lockcases, Cylinders, Architectural Hardware, Safes, Window Hardware, Padlocks, Bike Locks, Door Closers, Alarms, Surveillance and Smart door locks products.
  • Work closely with EMEIA to ensure UK are aligned to the EMEIA product strategies and UK product requirements are delivered on a local level.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, customer support and operations to develop and market our products.
  • Deliver local market product developments timely and to budget.
  • Deliver local market product developments on time and to budget. Working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service teams to ensure successful product launches and range management.
  • To develop, manage and improve existing product ranges in order to maximize sales and profitability.
  • To support ongoing product and range development where required in the Retail and Trade channel.
  • To ensure all Product Development is taken through the ASSA ABLOY NPI process.
  • To develop and utilize a thorough understanding of the market, competitor activity and consumer buying behaviour by identifying and tracking competitors, together with relevant market trends.
  • Support the Sales team with customer ranges, promotional activity and range management to deliver profitable sales growth.
  • Ensure the Marketing team is aware of product developments and support with the execution of ‘go to market’ activities when launching new products.
  • Ensure both the product database and website content is correct across Yale Home and other retailer sites, working in conjunction with the Marketing team to deliver a great experience when searching for product information on the web.
  • Ensure product category sales are tracked and reported on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis and circulated to key stakeholders within the business.
  • Responsible for pricing policy across both Retail and Trade channels for all product categories .
  • Ensure the product team are adhering to the full product lifecycle from concept to end of life.
  • Proactively represent the Company and its interests at appropriate Industry events.
  • Working with the procurement team to identify VAVE, resource and cost saving opportunities across all product categories.
  • Consistent and regular interface with customers in the market – Voice of the Customer.
  • Drive sustainability in product development across the product categories.
  • Understand and translate all industry standards and leverage to commercial advantage.
  • Ensure product knowledge/education and support is provided to all key stakeholders with Yale Retail UKI.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Have energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Be capable of taking responsibility and showing initiative.
  • Be an excellent team player but able to work successfully as an individual.
  • Have product management experience working across both/either consumer electronic and mechanical categories.
  • Have experience of working in both/either B2B & B2C consumer branded businesses in FMCG or consumer durables.
  • Attention to detail, natural leader and problem solver.
