We are seeking to appoint several apprentices within our Portobello site, Willenhall, WV13 3PW across the following areas, the description gives you an idea of what the future role will be:

 

Engineering/ Machining - The increase in semi-automated cells & processes in production is driving an increase in programming and setting skills, as well as fault diagnosis and problem solving. The role would also involve solution provision to increase production efficiency.

 

Value added, Value Engineering (VAVE) – This is looking at products and the parts and whether the product can be engineered with different materials at a lower cost but fundamentally the product works in the same way.

 

Planning – Working closely with the Operational teams ensuring all work is scheduled and parts to order are planned and ordered in time for the Operational Teams to manufacture.

 

Human Resources – To offer a supporting HR Advisory service to all employees on everyday employment matters.

 

Finance -  Exciting role is for an accountant to take responsibility for all finance matters relating to one of our larger business units operating at the forefront of digital security and smart living.

 

Product Management –Individuals in this role are responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and management of the agreed product range strategies in order to drive growth and profitability.

 

IT - Provide an excellent level of 1st line support to end users for any IT related issues as efficiently and effectively as possible


Procurement - To manage Direct or Indirect spend categories as designated and work in close liaison with all relevant Business Units to support their budgets and to maximise value and service.

 

Customer Services - The Customer Service Advisor is responsible for managing the order process for all customers, providing a comprehensive service surrounding products, services, orders and general enquiries.  They will strive to offer a service that is perceived by customers and consumers as world class, consistently ensuring timely and efficient solutions and advice and striving for continuous improvement.

 

As part of your apprenticeship journey will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn from experienced colleagues
  • Develop job-specific skills
  • Earn whilst you learn

 

During your apprenticeship, you will:

  • Be required to attend college/ training to fulfil the academic apprenticeship criteria
  • Be responsible for your own daily activities and prioritisation of tasks and workload
  • Develop a good working relationship with both external and internal customers

 

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a keen interest in their chosen field.
  • Are passionate and have enthusiasm to take on new skills and develop fresh new ideas.
  • Have the equivalent Grade 9-4 qualifications in Maths and English
  • Are self motivated and hard working
  • Have a logical, methodical approach to problem solving
  • Have good attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
