Amazon Account Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Amazon Account Manager who will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the Yale portfolio across Amazon’s European marketplaces. This role combines commercial acumen, digital retail expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration to optimise performance, deliver operational excellence, and strengthen Yale’s brand position within one of ASSA ABLOY’s most strategic retail channels.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the full commercial management of the Amazon business, including strategic planning, promotional execution, catalogue optimisation, supply chain performance, and cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance, and Digital teams.
You would also:
- Develop and execute a channel growth plan aligned to Yale Retail’s strategic objectives.
- Own the annual sales budget, revenue forecasting, and P&L performance for Amazon.
- Identify opportunities to grow market share across Smart Security, Smart Locks, Safes, and Traditional Hardware categories.
- Lead Joint Business Planning with Amazon, ensuring long term alignment and investment.
- Manage Amazon Vendor Central (AVC) end to end.
- Monitor profitability and take action to improve contribution margins.
- Optimise the full product catalogue: titles, bullets, A+ content, imagery, SEO keywords, brand stores.
- Work closely with the Digital & Marketing teams to ensure best in-class Amazon content and consistency with global brand guidelines.
- Analyse search and conversion data to continually improve rankings and visibility.
- Oversee compliance with Amazon category requirements and product onboarding.
- Plan and execute promotional activity including Prime Day, Black Friday, Deals Events, and customer-funded advertising.
- Build annual promotional calendars aligned with stock planning and marketing activations.
- Manage AMS/AMC campaigns alongside the Digital Marketing team to maximise ROAS and category share.
- Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to ensure strong in-stock performance and optimal delivery of forecasts.
- Work with Finance on pricing strategy, profitability analysis, invoicing, and commercial terms.
- Align with the Product Management team on range planning, NPI launches, and lifecycle management.
- Liaise with customer service teams to improve consumer experience and reduce negative feedback.
- Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting including KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide insights on competitors, category trends, and marketplace dynamics.
- Use data-driven decision making to shape strategy and justify recommendations.
The skills and experience you need:
- Proven experience managing Amazon (ideally both Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central) within a consumer goods or technology brand.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals, digital marketing levers, and online merchandising.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with experience working to targets and managing a P&L.
- Highly organised with strong project management capabilities.
