We seek an accomplished Business Development Director specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) licensing deals. In this role, you will lead our efforts in securing and negotiating strategic IP licensing agreements to maximize the value of our intellectual property assets.

As our Director of LP Licensing, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Developing and executing a targeted business development strategy for IP licensing deals to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential licensing opportunities that align with our company's IP portfolio and business goals.
  • Collaborating closely with the legal and IP teams to ensure compliance with intellectual property laws and developing well-structured licensing agreements.
  • Leading the negotiation and structuring of licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for our company.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with potential licensees, showcasing the benefits of our IP assets for their business objectives.
  • Analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify new IP licensing prospects and with potential technology partners.
  • Providing strategic insights to senior management based on thorough market analysis and licensing deal evaluations and technology partner activities.
  • Developing and delivering persuasive presentations to effectively communicate the value of our IP assets to potential licensees.

  • Experience in the field of people & asset identification using Mobile, Cloud or RF & RFID technologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of an additional European language a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret patents, technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, macOS and Linux as well as mobile operating systems

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development and successfully securing IP licensing or large business deals within the security industry.
