Technical Editor (m/f/d)

In this role, you will shape and maintain our documentation portfolio, drive quality and consistency standards, and actively explore Al-based approaches to modern technical documentation and knowledge management.

What You'll Do

  • Create, update, and maintain high-quality technical documentation such as online helps, user manuals, technician manuals, and installation instructions for SKIDATA products.
  • Lead documentation projects independently, including planning, coordination, execution, and timely delivery while ensuring consistent quality standards.
  • Research, evaluate, and support the adoption of Al-based tools and methods for technical documentation and knowledge management within the department.
  • Check, apply, and further develop documentation standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across the entire documentation portfolio.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Product Development, Quality Assurance, Product Compliance, Product Management, and Global Technical Support.
  • Create and integrate screencasts and videos into online help where appropriate.

 

What You Bring

  • Technical education or comparable education with a strong interest in technology.
  • Strong interest and proven ability in building, structuring, and transferring technical knowledge. Excellent technical writing skills with a strong focus on clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and Adobe tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Strong interest in Al technologies and a willingness to develop Al-related know-how within the technical documentation environment. Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.

We offer a market-competitive salary based on your qualifications and professional experience. The collective agreement minimum for this position is EUR 2,362.00 gross per month based on full-time employment. Your actual salary will be  a market-based overpayment and will be significantly higher than the the collective agreement minimum.
