The Position:

You will be responsible for the sale of the range of Extended Access Technologies products & solutions (RFID & Biometrics technology) in an assigned territory in Europe for defined vertical markets. You will be the sales & business development interface in an important and growing sub-region and growth focus vertical markets within EMEA for HID Extended Access Technologies products. You are expected to fully understand customer and market requirements to drive business growth and expansion in the assigned territory & verticals. Depending on the development of the market and market trends, focus vertical markets may be re-prioritized overtime.


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Analyze & develop go to market strategy for defined Vertical markets
  • Identify sales opportunities in the given Vertical markets
  • Manage the Sales and Marketing activity in the assigned sales territory for given Vertical markets.
  • Manage & be accountable for the sales quota assigned
  • Maintain the sales forecast & communicate with other departments internally – Operations, Marcom, Product Management & Engineering to ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations.  
  • Travel throughout assigned territory on regular basis to expand business with existing customer base & prospective partners.
  • Provide support to assigned accounts and strategic alliances by providing sales training, demonstration of equipment and participation in joint events.
  • Maintain timely and accurate information on customer accounts into company databases and systems.
  • Fully understand customer requirements and effectively communicate these needs to Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales management to ensure alignment with product & technology roadmap. 
  • Coordinate the related activity for trade shows and other marketing events.
  • Attend industry related trade shows, conferences, and events to gain local industry knowledge and expand contacts.
  • Provide timely submission of monthly reports, expense reports and other related action items as required by senior management.




  • Solid experience in business development and/or technical sales experience in at least one of the following Vertical markets: healthcare, retail, finance
  • Authentication, RFID or Biometrics sales experience and understanding of the Authentication, RFID and/or Biometrics technologies sales process
  • Knowledge of RFID or Authentication technologies
  • Knowledge of fingerprint biometrics or facial biometric technologies and related sales experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of government vertical is a plus
  • Existing network of contacts in either healthcare, retail or finance & banking is a must
  • Strong understanding of the business requirements & processes within healthcare, retail or finance & banking
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following industries: authentication, access control is a plus
  • Experience with direct and channel sales is a plus
  • Hunter mentality
  • Ability to directly engage with major end users within key verticals to evangelize and drive technology and product decisions
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to lead presentations both internally and externally
  • Capable of establishing credibility with customers as well as other internal departments – Product Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance
  • Strong out of the box thinking combined with a hands-on attitude, the ability to manage multiple projects successfully and prioritize well
  • Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team
  • Previous multi country/regional experience preferred


Education and/or Experience             

  • Minimum BS Degree – preferably Engineering or Computer Science
  • MBA - Marketing or Business preferred


Language Skills                   

  • Fluent German language 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and anticipate important business or market trends/drivers from journals, tradeshows, business publications, etc
