With a passion for people, the Production Manager will partner with the Plant Manager and lead the Production Supervisors in overseeing and managing all aspects of our production operations, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of lean manufacturing processes, demonstrated success in delivering Word Class Net Promotor Score performance, and a proven record of using innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage, support and direct the plant operations leadership team in all efforts to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost performance for the site resulting in meeting or exceeding business objectives
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and gain buy-in and ownership within the operations team
  • Lead and grow daily Gemba process
  • Align processes, resource planning and department goals with overall strategy
  • Champion Continuous Improvement activities to the business objectives
  • Develop Operational Improvement Roadmap with the site management team
  • Drive profitability through team collaboration focusing on waste elimination
  • Coach and support leader standard work, standard work for operations, problem solving, Kaizen, 5S, TPM across the plant
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • Manage and drive current projects to support the strategic plan
  • Collaborate with peer groups across plants for best practice implementations
  • Build and maintain a culture of trust with and amongst direct reports, plant associates and peer groups

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact well with customers 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth industry; willing to be hands-on and take initiative 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others as leaders
  • Must be able to display servant leadership qualities and lead through empowerment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • High sense of urgency
  • 5+ Years first level supervisor/leader experience in a manufacturing environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred, requirement may be waived for a candidate with extensive, related experience and demonstrated strong progressive career trajectory
  • Ideal candidate would have Lean/Continuous Improvement Certification
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Proficient in ERP software and reporting tools: JDE preferred
