ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions provides end-users (healthcare facilities, schools, universities, military, commercial buildings, etc.) with unsurpassed security and life-safety solutions and the essential support services (LEED consultation, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, specification writing services, technical support, etc.) to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry. This is all accomplished by combining the strengths of industry-leading door and hardware brands.

 

Great news! We’re currently seeking a Medeco Sales Representative, Lock and Security Hardware that will be based at our Vaughan headquarters.

 

Job Summary

 

As a Medeco Sales Representative, Lock and Security Hardware, you will be responsible for driving the Medeco revenue in Central Region by targeting, developing and maintaining high-impact relationships in customer organizations and acting as a subject matter expert to other ASSA ABLOY sales staff towards closing key system opportunities. The ideal candidate is continuous improvement focused, detail-oriented, and is a strong team member.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive Medeco revenue, market share profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive penetration and revenue growth for Medeco’s Intelligent Key Solutions.
  • Collaborate proactively with ASSA ABLOY’s staff in channel management and customer service.
  • Successfully penetrate new and existing end-user accounts.
  • Develop targeted vertical market expertise to ensure Medeco’s growth and leadership in that market.
  • Gain respect and trust as a consultant on all types of mechanical and electronic key system implementations.
  • Participate in lead sharing with colleagues in the Door Security Solutions group.
  • Participate in the annual trade show plan within targeted vertical markets.

 

Your Education and Experience

 

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing of Related Field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales role.
  • Basic technical sales experience in a B2B environment an asset.
  • A technical understanding of security products is an advantage

 

 

Your Key Competencies

 

  • Lead in the design of mechanical and electronic key systems in keeping with a client’s security objectives.
  • Ability to analyze and demonstrate dollarized benefits of an Medeco key systems.
  • Be knowledgeable with all aspects of Intelligent Key software implementation in common network situations.
  • Driven, results-oriented, self-initiating
  • Business acumen to support vertical market analysis and solution analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative selling style.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

 

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sale presentations.
  • Ability to travel in within the assigned territory up to 60% of the time.              
  • Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally into the U.S. is also required (must be able to enter the US).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
