Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist – EMS Group to be based in the Vaughan head office. The Business Development Specialist – EMS Group is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence for our portfolio of products within the commercial building sector. This role will focus on developing and strengthening relationships with key channel partners, end users, architects, and other project stakeholders, while identifying new opportunities to increase product awareness and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with select channel customers, including distributors, contractors, and integrators. Channels include locksmiths, aluminum OEM manufacturers, glaziers, service companies.
- Engage directly with end users, architects, consultants, and other project stakeholders to promote and specify the company’s product portfolio.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and participate in relevant events such as trade shows, industry and association events, and customer-specific business development initiatives.
- Continuously analyze and understand the competitive landscape, including products, pricing, and market positioning.
- Identify opportunities, risks, and market trends impacting the product portfolio.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Track and manage project pipelines, quotes and opportunities, customer interactions and activities.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics including sales progress, pipeline health, and forecasting.
- Ensure consistent follow-up and progression of opportunities from lead to close.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience
- University or college degree or equivalent experience
- Proven skill set and passionate about in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the commercial construction or building products industry
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of channel sales and specification-driven markets
- Experience working with or selling to architects, engineers, contractors, or building owners is an asset

The estimated expected salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 per annum.
