Outside Sales

 

Diamond Door/ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking candidates for an Outside Sales Consultant position based in Upper Sandusky, OH. Candidates do not need to live in the area; however travel is expected.

 

Diamond Door, an ASSA ABLOY company, manufactures dry freight roll-up doors and aluminum shutter doors. Over the years, Diamond has expanded into various markets, including work trucks, fire and rescue, architecture, kiosks, and toolboxes.

 

This position is responsible for proactively building and managing strong customer relationships, manages new opportunities from current and new customers, and professionally secures orders in a way that maximizes Diamond Door’s target growth and profitability throughout the US. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, organized, reliable and efficient. Some travel would be required for training and then trips to Upper Sandusky, OH if the candidate does not live local.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Create a solid sales pipeline and provide an accurate monthly sales forecast for both shutter and sectional doors
  • Maintain sales planning and funnel management.
  • General understanding of Diamond Door’s contract terms and condition requirements to negotiate sales.
  • Properly record account and customer activity in system and utilize reporting in CRM for market analysis.
  • Cultivate & nurture relationships with existing and new customer accounts, and vendors to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns
  • Partner with operations and visit customer sites regularly to survey equipment and enhance customer relationships. Build in capital planning discussions.
  • Participate in networking organizations, events, and trade shows

 

The successful candidate minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a must
  • Truck door experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong and effective oral, written, persuasive, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to build customer relationships and work efficiently with co-workers, management, and decision makers.
