Vice President, Strategic Projects

 

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Vice President, Strategic Projects to develop opportunities relative to ASSA ABLOY – Business Segment Perimeter Security needs.   Successful candidate understands the critical market dynamics driving investment and promote product solutions for emerging and current Perimeter Security markets. He/She will also identify applications, products, customers, and channel partners to support ASSA ABLOY and the leadership of BSPS in new expansion and market development activities.
 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Expand presence in the perimeter security market by working with owners, executive team and ASSA ABLOY leaders.

  • Develop and execute business development opportunities to drive growth in the targeted end markets.

  • Analyze the current market position, i.e., the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Identifies gaps and in collaboration with VP Sales, implements strategies to improve market positioning.

  • Provide advice & counsel to the BSPS Executive Team and the President, BSPS team that appropriately reflects the business unit’s goals around all relocation, expansion, and acquisition planning.

  • Improves sales marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities and coordinating new market development.

  • Work in collaboration with Human Resources to evaluate all labor, compensation analysis and other market variables related to all expansion and acquisition activities.

  • Facilitates successful implementation in new market introductions by ensuring a well-defined, efficient transition process is in place focused on capturing the voice of the customer.

  • Implement strategic initiatives by collaborating with internal leadership teams.

  • Fosters an organization of continuous improvement. Works closely with the operations team to maximize efficiency and drive world-class customer service.

  • Domestic and International Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners.

The skills and experience you need:

 

  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant industry-related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership in an either a manufacturing environment or related executive sales experience is required, with at least 8-10 years of strategic commercial or business development experience in a related field.

  • Candidate must have experience in “Greenfield” projects and/or business relocation experience.

 

In addition, knowledge and skills preferred:

 

  • Proven experience in supporting global businesses and leadership teams.

  • Minimum of ten years in operations, business planning or project management role. Individual must be “analytical thinker” and can develop long-term plans that incorporate the vision and direction of the organization.  Differentiation, Innovation, Creative Solutions, and Value Proposition must be at the core of this.

  • Proven experience in commercial functions associated with manufacturing operations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills are required.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • High Level of financial and business acumen

  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)

  • Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers.
