Warehouse Supervisor
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor is to ensure all material is properly stored, inventory is correct, and all housekeeping is maintained throughout warehouse. Meeting the monthly metrics is the primary measurement of this position. This position is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assign staff to ensure all finished goods are put up properly each day.
- Have all finished goods properly labelled and identified.
- Understands the ebb and flow of the truck pulling process to make process more efficient.
- Responsible for any incident reporting. Understands paperwork requirements and processes accordingly. Also understands contact process for all important parties.
- Has ownership of all duties associated with maintaining warehouse facilities.
- Responsible for quality control on all orders processed by the crew during the shift.
- Manage all 5S/Continuous Improvement events and projects.
- Establish daily preventative maintenance checklists for all lifts.
- Responsible for training and coaching of team members.
- Position is one of high visibility on the floor at all times.
The skills and experience you need:
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of lean principles, green or black belt a plus
- Experience in MRP/ERP environment such as JD Edwards Enterprise One
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
