Slitter Operator

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Slitter Operator. This position will be a 1st shift position Monday-Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime as required. 

What you will be doing:

• Proficient in All Functions Required to Operate the Slitting Line
• Direct/Coordinate Slitter Helpers
• Assist in Set-ups and Changeover as Required
• Perform Quality Inspection Activities as Required
• Visual and /or Measured Inspection of Product for Damage or Defects
• Train with Plant Supervisor Training of Slitter Helpers
• Maintain High Level Safety Standards

Maintain High Level Housekeeping Standards

The skills and experience you need:

Education:

• High School or GED Equivalent

Experience:

• 2 years in a Steel Service Center / Processing Enviorment

Other:

• Professional Business Attitude
• Superior Supervisory abilities
• Communication/Cooperative Interaction with Other Employees      
• Computer data entry
• Proficient in Use of Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Tape Measure
• Proficient in Math
• Forklift and Overhead Crane Operation
