Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Skid Builder.  This position will operate all pallet manufacturing facility tools and equipment in a safe manner while keeping up with pallet demand. This is a first shift position, Monday - Friday  4:00 am to 2:30 pm.

 

 

What you will be doing:

Sort and stack pallets according to department requirements.
Cleanup work area during and at the end of each shift.
Cut and stack boards to proper length. Understanding & usage of the metric system, and tape measure.
Ability to operate Pneumatic Nail Gun, Forklift and Hand Tools safely.
Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds.
Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
 

 

The skills and experience you need:

 

High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
1 year involved with wood manufacturing processes.
Familiar with a variety of wood building concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.
Must have strong verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work with others in a team environment.
Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment.
Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.
Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Have basic math and mechanical skills.
Ability to work overtime as needed
