Shipping and Receiving Administrator

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for Shipping and Receiving Administrator.  This position will be for the production and filing of all shipping and receiving documents.  Primary point-of-contact for all outbound LTL and truckload shipments. This will be a weekend shift position: Friday – Sunday 5:00am – 5:00pm.

What you will be doing:

• Prepares shipping documents for all LTL and truckload shipments.
• Scans all shipping and receiving documents to appropriate locations. 
• Provides a high level of customer service to all areas of the company by promptly addressing all shipping and receiving questions. 
• Prepares shipping and receiving weekly and monthly reporting.  Tracks and maintains KPI data for shipping and receiving departments.  
• Coordinates daily LTL and TL volume with Shipping and Sales groups to ensure all orders are at the proper shipping status.
• Receive purchase orders as required.
• Provides a high level of customer service by quickly resolving any shipping or receiving issues.       

The skills and experience you need:

• High school or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Must possess a strong understanding of customer service and supply chain functions
• Knowledge of MS Office software
• Capability and desire to learn:
• Company goals, guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Computer software system (JD Edwards)
• Ameristar’s product offerings
• Flatbed  and LTL Program policies and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be highly organized 
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong multi-tasking ability
• Must possess good decision making skills
• Ability to assist in development of others
• Able to work with minimal or no supervision
