Manager, Field Service

     

 

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Manager, Field Services. The Manager of Field Services is responsible for leading and managing field service operations supporting Ameristar Perimeter Security's portfolio of perimeter security solutions, including fencing systems, gates, access control systems, anti-ram barriers, bollards, hydraulic power units (HPUs), barrier control systems, and related security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electro-mechanical and hydraulic security systems and their installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance requirements. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of installation, service, warranty, and repair activities while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, repair, part sales, maintenance, and warranty service activities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns related to field services.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor utilization, and operational performance metrics.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for hydraulic power units (HPUs), vehicle barrier systems, and associated control systems.
  • Assist field teams in diagnosing and resolving complex hydraulic, electrical, and control-related issues.
  • Ensure field personnel are trained on installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for barrier control equipment and HPU-driven systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in field service, construction, security systems, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic power units (HPUs), crash-rated vehicle barriers, wedge barriers, beam barriers, bollard systems, gate operators, and associated control systems.
  • Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining electro-hydraulic security systems and PLC/HMI-based barrier controls.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and control logic documentation.
