Industrial Electrician

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Industrial Electrician.  The Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. They must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.

What you will be doing:

• Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment.
• Working as a team member or alone to complete projects.
• Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes.
• Making decisions based on technical documents.
• Performing quality testing and inspections.

The skills and experience you need:

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 2 years of industrial electrical experience required
• Journeyman experience or the completion of an apprenticeship program
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment
• Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
• Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc
