Business Development Specialist, Data Centers

Company Overview:

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, Inc. is the nation’s largest manufacturer of physical perimeter security solutions, including fencing, gates, and active and passive vehicle barriers. As we expand our capabilities to manufacture wire and expanded metal mesh systems in-house, we are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth for interior security solutions in the data center vertical, focusing on cage systems within data centers.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Specialist – Data Center Interior Security & Containment is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for interior data center containment systems, including tenant cage environments and secure mesh partitions. This role focuses on driving revenue growth within the mission-critical data center vertical by understanding customer requirements for tenant segregation, asset protection, and compliance-driven physical security controls.

In addition, the Business Development Specialist will strategically build and cultivate relationships with General Contractors actively engaged in data center construction and expansion projects. By leveraging these partnerships, the role will promote Ameristar Perimeter Security’s interior containment solutions, influence project specifications, and position Ameristar as a preferred manufacturer for secure cage and partition systems within colocation, hyperscale, and enterprise data center environments.

The ideal candidate will align Ameristar’s expanding in-house wire and expanded metal manufacturing capabilities with the evolving physical security demands of modern data center facilities.

  • Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent engagement, both in-person and virtually.
  • Provide product knowledge and technical guidance on wire and expanded metal cage systems to clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to ensure solutions meet client specifications.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and site visits to increase market presence and awareness.
  • Track sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline in CRM to ensure accurate forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction, security, data center infrastructure industries, or relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of data center environments, cage systems, interior fit-out and construction processes preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (60-70%) to client sites and industry events.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
