Due to the expansion of our R&D department, we are seeking a Medior-Senior (Med-Sr) Mechanical Engineer to join our team for 32-38 hours per week.

 

What you would do as (Med-Sr) Mechanical Engineer

As a (Med-Sr) Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate both independently and within teams on one or multiple projects. Your responsibilities include mechanical (conceptual) design and project management tasks. You will report directly to the R&D Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initial client contact to product delivery, including product (conceptual) development and design, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup, and process development.
  • Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to the development process, quality, efficiency, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Support the commercial department.

 

The skills and experience you need

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Extensive experience in product development and design, preferably using SolidWorks

  • Substantial relevant previous work experience

  • Familiarity with fine mechanical systems, generators, and electric motors is a plus

  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills with a natural talent to influence at various levels of the organisation

  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken

  • Must have own transportation within a reachable distance from Tilburg
