The EMEIA Division is looking for a Electronics Design Engineer (Mid or Senior) for its Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) business to implement and help secure high quality and end-to-end system robustness for connected devices within the EMEIA division.
This will be an exciting journey where we will change the perception and challenge/stretch the boundaries of what a door environment is capable of today. A good analogy of this journey would be to compare moving from the landline phone to mobile.
What you would do as Electronics Design Engineer
You will play a vital role defining and implementing next generation of digital door locks. You will be engaged from the conception phase of new products, over the production until the end of life of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic hardware, emphasizing schematics, and PCB layout ensuring low production cost, functionality, and manufacturability;
- Collaborate with the R&D and support teams to create prototypes for electronics design verification and debugging;
- Apply EMI/EMC experience to design solutions that are functional, performing accordingly, and meet regulatory requirements;
- Mass production preparations (design files, test specifications, etc.) and support to sub-contractors;
- Creating documentation and specifications of the product or assembly;
- Support project leader with project planning.
The skills and experience you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field;
- 2+ years of experience in electronics design for mass production;
- Familiar with EMI/EMC requirements and regulations;
- Knowledge of energy harvesting technologies is a plus;
- Experience in the full design cycle of power electronic systems: conceptualization, design for manufacturing, and testing.
- Experience with EDA software, preferably Altium Designer;
- Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence) is a plus;
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic environment;
- Good communication skills (English, Dutch is a plus).
