Territory Manager - THD PRO

 

As a THD PRO Territory Manager, you will have frontline sales responsibility and manage the relationship with THD PRO team. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as you will work closely with the THD PRO team as well as internal Sales, Marketing, and Customer/Consumer Service partners. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and execution-focused, responsible for driving sales and initiatives to grow the Home Depot PRO Channel.

 

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

(60%) Sales and Account Management  

  • Create high impact selling strategy with THD PRO national personnel and coordinate in store selling tools and training to drive sales
  • Manage local customer events & shows to drive brand awareness
  • Work with and support THD PRO Sales Desks to drive pro contractor sales, provide job quotes via QuoteCenter and other sales platforms, and promote products to fit PRO needs
  • Direct and coordinate with retail sales team in store activities and execution of special projects

(30%) Strategic Share Gain

  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive profitability and sales growth with the THD PRO Sales Team
  • Develop a territory strategy focused on the largest opportunities to gain share while keeping a keen focus on supporting existing business
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and Marketing by providing PRO requested reports

(10%) Sales Reporting / Operations

  • Update weekly and monthly reports in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and Marketing by providing requested reports
  • Present key findings to sales and marketing leaders on competitive intel, operational changes and comp shops
  • Facilitate communication between field reps, sales office and THD corporate

 

Education and Experience Profile

  • 3-5 years sales experience preferred
  • Retail “Big Box” Experience

 

Required Skills

  • Understanding of THD (or other Big Box Retailer) store operations and merchandising
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Natural Leader

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to travel 40% of the time.
