As our Staff Electrical Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Working collaboratively with several HID global hardware development teams in the world as well as other outsource partners to survey, evaluate, design new solutions/platforms/produts.
- Involved hardware product life phase from NPI, MP, to EOL
- Develops and supports schematics, BOM, Placement and DFx (Layout, manufacturing, testing etc.) design during product development stages and initial manufacturing.
- Collaborate with factory manufacturing, mechanical engineering, firmware, hardware verification, and many other engineering and design disciplines to optimize the overall system of the product from concept to completion in the factory.
- Conducting product analysis and cost optimization.
- Conducts design/debug investigations and support development, maintenance, failure analysis, and resolution activities.
- Develop project documentation including specifications, schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, schedules and presentations to meet requirements and communicate the electrical design and its progress using Agile and Jira.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
BSCS/BSEE or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in circuit role within product development life cycle, MUST have experience to collaborate with ME and Firmware Engineers.
Excellent knowledge of MCU (Non-OS) and Embedded Linux system hardware design using different MCU/SoC (ARM-Cortex M, ARM-Cortex A, 8051 base, PIC and others). Have experience on NXP i.MX platform is plus.
Excellent knowledge of communication interfaces USB / MIPI / SPI / I2C etc.
Experience with Schematic design / PCB layout (Altium Designer / Protel is plus)
Familiar with hardware circuit design of electro-optical system with CMOS Image sensor (Parallel, MIPI), illumination, LEDs.
Design to comply with EMC/EMI/FCC certification and hardware compliance requirements.
Experience with hardware-based security is plus.
Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Function Generator knowledge
Practically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate in the English and Chinese language, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Tool / Computer Skills
Eletrical design EDA, Altuimn designer, OrCAD.
Possesses practical experience with agile development processes. Familiar with Jira tools, able to clearly write user stories and task sub-items. Uses Jira for task tracking, bug reporting, and updating work progress.
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
