We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Suresnes!
The Senior SW Engineer reports to the Digital Credentials Team Manager of Mobility team.
As a Senior SW Engineer of Mobility Digital Platform you will have the responsibility to manage projects from the requirements collection up to the delivery in production.
You will interact with the customer, team, stakeholders, keeping all stakeholders updated on the status of the project. You will define project goals, timeframes, budget, resources and phases, monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or blocking points, ensuring compliance with timeframes and budget.

As our Senior Software Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Gathering requirements and creating technical specifications as needed
- Interacting with Engineering team to refine product requirements into User stories and clarify requirements (Grooming)
- Interacting with Customers to collect the business requirements and revert internally them to Engineering team
- Collaborating to the creation and maintenance of Products’ documentation and technical specs
- Creating high-level interaction diagrams
- Driving the product roadmap
- Participating in agile meetings for planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and daily standups
- Collaborating with Technical pre-sales to be able to effectively demo the platform to new potential customers
- Collaborating with technical partners inside HID and outside
- Being ready to spend part of your time on travel to meet internal remote teams and existing and potential new customers
Your Experience and Background include:
- Ability to effectively communicate in French (native language) and English (fluent) languages verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the product lifecycle in at least one major cloud vendor environment (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.) and a proven full stack lifecycle experience (5 - 7 years of experience) with microservice architecture in SpringBoot framework, Hibernate, JPA developing backend components with Java.
- Proven experience in at least one of the particular product or market (e.g. Automated Fare Collection Systems for Transit, ABT systems, smart card for Transit, Mobile Ticketing Solutions for Transit). This should include specific industry or technical knowledge. Transit / Smart Card industry experience a definite plus
- Proven experience leading a project applying methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
- Have a high drive, enthusiasm and showcase passion for what you do all the time;
- Ability to communicate with various levels of leadership
- 5 - 7 years of experience with at least one Cloud platform: AWS, Azure, Google, OpenShift, etc is preferred.
- Expertise with test-driven development in Java or equivalent language
- Demonstrate the ability to reduce complex ideas and problems into clear concepts and solutions
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Oracle
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Proven experience in managing SW products/applications, Mobile devices (Android / iOS) and/or Digital platforms.
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional distributed remote teams. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with sales, and Engineering is especially important
- Proven ability to have worked with remote outsourced engineering, design teams
- Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
Education and/or Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Developing Applications using one or more technology stacks (Java, Javascript, etc)
- 5 - 7 years of experience in using SpringBoot, Hibernate, Java, JEE framework
- Knowledge with full product lifecycle
- 5-7 years of experience in a Product/Project Management role in the Enterprise Software market. Experience with AFC / System Integrator Industry, SaaS and/or security is preferred
- Experience leading a project with SAFe methodology
- Experience leading a remote team
- Definite plus (Certifications): Scrum Master / Product Owner SAFe six certification, PMP
- Ability to effectively communicate in French (native language) and English (fluent) languages verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Advanced Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficient with Project and Program management tools and techniques (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, etc)
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, etc
- Proficient with agile product requirement management tools: JIRA, Planisware, etc.
- Familiar with web and mobile app development practices is a plus
- Familiar with application lifecycle management
- Experience with content management systems, such as Microsoft Sharepoint, Confluence
- Solid presenting and communication skills
- Customer oriented, and empathetic toward customer needs
- Ability to navigate the ambiguity of customer pain points, distill that information down to succinct user stories that will ultimately address the customer’s needs
- Ability to gather pain points from different customers and define a common solution. Ability to connect the dots across various customers and projects
