Position summary

ASSA ABLOY GCSEA Opening Solutions Finance Management Trainee Program is designed to develop high-potential finance professionals as finance talent pipeline for South East Asia countries.

This program offers an accelerated development career path for individuals passionate about:

You will gain exposure to diverse markets across Greater China and South East Asia while working on real business challenges that directly impact organizational performance.

Through structured rotations, mentorship, and hands-on experience, the program builds a strong foundation for a long-term career within the Finance organization.

Program Structure & Rotations

This is a 2-year structured development program, comprising 4 rotations across key finance functions.

Talents are carefully selected, consciously mapped, and placed into roles such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Shared Services Operations, or other specialized Finance teams, performing real work that impacts our business.

Rotation Areas may include:

  • Finance Shared Services Operation
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Manufacturing Finance
  • Country Commercial Finance
  • Any other critical functions / projects

Upon successful completion, high-performing trainees will be offered full-time opportunities within Finance organization (subject to business needs), with an expectation of regional mobility, including potential relocation within China and South East Asia.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES -

 

Your role will evolve across rotations from operational finance to business partnering. Core responsibilities include:

  • Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making
  • Support forecasting and budgeting cycles
  • Support preparation of management reports and performance insights
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including aging monitoring, overdue balances follow-up, and ensuring timely collections
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations and follow-up on variances and clearance
  • Participate in internal and external audits processes
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams on inventory turnover analysis
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Participate in automation and system enhancement initiatives

 

Selection criteria, Relevant Knowledge, and competencies (For the role, specify relevant knowledge, competencies and experience that is needed, e.g: Educational background, technical skills, technological knowledge - details of relevant experience, - skills required for the role, -most relevant leadership dimensions)

Position Requirements:

  • Fresh graduation with finance or accounting degree
  • Willing to relocate within China and SEA countries for rotations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and high learning agility
  • Ability to work effectively across multicultural and cross functional teams
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with data analysis capability
  • Interest in finance transformation and business partnering
