Test & Verification Engineer
Build the Test Systems Powering Next-Generation Smart Access Devices
Location: Stockholm, Sweden | Embedded System & Test Automation
Bring products to life before they reach the world.
Do you thrive on working hands-on with embedded systems, automated test platforms and real-world verification? Here, your work ensures that cutting-edge electromechanical access solutions perform flawlessly from day one.
The role
You will design and implement automated test systems for embedded and electromechanical products, ensuring performance, reliability, and real-world readiness. As part of the test team, you will contribute to a testing community that supports the full product lifecycle — from early concepts and prototypes to production-ready solutions. You will work closely with R&D teams across firmware, mechanics, electronics, and product development to create robust verification methods and reliable test setups.
What you will work on
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for smart, embedded locks and related electromechanical access products
- Build reusable test frameworks, libraries, fixtures, and utilities that support functional, integration, performance, reliability, and robustness testing
- Integrate devices under test, communication interfaces, sensors, measurement equipment, and test fixtures into scalable automated test setups
- Analyse product and system requirements, risks, and use cases, then translate them into clear, traceable automated and manual test cases
- Increase automated regression coverage and improve test repeatability, execution speed, maintainability, reporting, and readiness for continuous testing
- Evaluate automated test results and measurement data, identify deviations and trends, and communicate evidence-based conclusions to stakeholders
- Reproduce failures, debug complex issues, and collaborate with firmware, electronics, mechanics, and systems engineers to determine root causes and verify corrective actions
- Continuously improve the test architecture and automation approach, using either Python or LabVIEW; proficiency in at least one of these technologies is required
What will help you succeed
- Proficiency in either Python or LabVIEW (ideally LabVIEW OOP) for automated testing
- Hands-on experience testing embedded hardware, firmware, or electromechanical products
- Experience developing reusable automated tests, frameworks, and test setups
- Ability to translate requirements and risks into traceable test coverage
- Strong analytical, result-analysis, and debugging skills
- A structured, collaborative approach with clear documentation and communication
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of smart locks, access systems, communication interfaces, or measurement equipment
- Experience with regression automation, continuous integration, hardware-in-the-loop, or production testing
