What you would do as our Solutions Architect - Hardware
As a Solutions Architect - Hardware, you will work closely with the Global Solutions CTO, engaging with Business Areas to understand their customers, use cases, and technical needs. You’ll play a key role in guiding hardware and firmware development, ensuring alignment across the division, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and technology reuse. Your expertise will support mergers & acquisitions, product generation planning, and emerging technology adoption.
You would also:
- Develop a deep understanding of Business Areas’ hardware portfolios and contribute to a Divisional Product Catalogue.
- Align hardware requirements across Business Areas to minimize duplication and streamline development.
- Provide technical guidance on hardware and firmware architecture, supporting new product introductions.
- Engage in Group-level initiatives, ensuring divisional alignment with broader hardware strategies.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and applications.
- Actively support M&A activities, advising on technology integrations and opportunities.
- Foster collaboration across divisions, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Support compliance with regulations and standards, ensuring products meet required certifications.
The skills and experience you need:
We are looking for someone who:
- 5+ years of experience in hardware and firmware development, preferably in a strategic role.
- Expertise in electromechanical locks, access control solutions, and RFID technologies.
- Strong understanding of hardware development methodologies and firmware architecture.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of emerging regulations and standards, along with their potential impact on the business. They have excellent knowledge of how products and technologies can be combined to create superior solutions and can effectively communicate technical matters in a way that aligns with the audience's level of expertise. A great team player, they demonstrate strategic thinking with a long-term vision and the ability to formulate and implement effective plans. Additionally, they have the ability to influence and guide others, leveraging their technology background and experience in developing hardware products to drive innovation and success.
