Senior Back-end Developer – Electronic Access Control

As a Senior Back-end Developer, you will join our skilled, international team of developers based in Stockholm, dedicated to building next-generation products and access control solutions that enable identity, authentication and access experiences for customers worldwide.

The role

You’ll join a small and strongly connected team working in a highly self-organised agile environment. The team values close collaboration, open discussion and learning from one another, with approaches such as pair programming and mob programming forming part of how you work together.

You’ll take ownership of backend development and integrations, from designing solutions through to implementation, testing and continuous improvement. You’ll also contribute to technical discussions and decisions, while having the independence to explore problems and find solutions before bringing others in.

What you’ll work on

• Build and evolve backend services — develop high-quality software using Golang and modern software engineering practices, with a focus on distributed systems and product connectivity.
• Develop APIs and integrations — create and maintain REST APIs and modern integration patterns that connect different product components.
• Shape technical solutions — contribute to software architecture, object-oriented design and decisions around scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Strengthen software quality — work with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code reviews to help deliver reliable software.
• Solve complex problems — troubleshoot and improve existing solutions while looking for practical ways to make the product and development process better.
• Work closely with the team — collaborate through pair and mob programming, share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What will help you succeed

• 5+ years of backend software development experience, including designing and delivering production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with Golang as a programming language, together with experience building distributed systems, APIs or backend services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design, including REST APIs and modern integration patterns.
• Experience with modern development practices, particularly CI/CD, automated testing and code reviews.
• A collaborative and curious mindset — you enjoy learning from others, sharing knowledge and remaining open to new ideas, technologies and perspectives. You see change as an opportunity to improve products, processes and team effectiveness.

Nice to have: Some experience with the .NET ecosystem.
