This individual will focus on cloud/software and mobile products and will require a knowledge of bluetooth and NFC technologies as well as extensive knowledge of cloud and mobile based application development and support.

The Position:


This position does not have any direct reports but you will work through strong collabration with cross- functional teams to accomplish the necessary improvements and actions.


The candidate is considered part of a core group of employees who visibly prioritize quality and help to transfer and reinforce the culture of quality throughout the company




As our Global Quality Manager you’ll support HID’s success by: 


  • Improving processes involving the management of SAAS/Cloud based products, quality management, and customer returns of virtual products and early life product management
  • Measure, compile, analyze & report internal & external quality metrics within the global corrective action process
  • Provide leadership to the business area in the implementation of the SAFe methodology and agile product development, this could include leading coaching/mentoring sessions with other team members.
  • Drive process improvements in the areas of SLA, turnaround times, customer experience and generic operations
  • Work across business units and functions to achieve synergy in process, tools and methodologies
  • Work regularly with the counterparts in firmware and hardware domains to ensure end to end quality
  • As a key part of the Issue Management Escalation Process, the triage step is essential to the cross-functional and timely review of critical issues and rapid containment of the associated quality issue.
  • Attend and actively participate in SCRUM meetings, NPI product reviews, and other quality related meetings as appropriate with a focus on opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Conduct root cause and failure analysis of defective product and for other quality issues as necessary.
  • Maintain quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals and interpret and
  • Communicate quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in the organization.

  • ​​​​​​​​​Collaborate with the other business functions (Product Management, Engineering, Tech Support, and others) to resolve any critical or systemic quality issue.




What we will love about your background: 


  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.            
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in use of MS applications such as Visio, Project. High degree of PC technical skills.
  • Knowledge of WebEx or other web-based video communications software beneficial. Oracle and Agile proficiency a plus. 




Your Qualifications and Experience include: 


  • Requires B.S. degree in technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must have at least 5 to 7 years Testing/Quality Assurance  experience, to include management responsibilities.
  • Expert Knowledge of SAAS/Cloud and Mobile product development processes and Quality Management
  • Good Knowledge of the SAFe/SCRUM  methodology and Agile Development
  • Technical Knowledge of products related to the secured Identity industry.
  • Knowledge of cloud native solution architecture and associated quality concerns
  • Expertise on load/performance tests and security vulnerability tests
  • Ability to capture key quality KPIs and matrices to present to various stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results.
  • Proven work experience with quality tools ensuring continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent project management skills.
